Healing in the DRC and uganda

As of June 27, 2025, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Rwanda have signed a US-brokered peace agreement aimed at ending decades of conflict in eastern Congo. The agreement was finalised on June 27, 2025, in Washington DC, under the facilitation of President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

It is a welcome step forward for the peoples of DRC, and Jahavel welcomes the moves to end the ongoing trauma.

Because since 1994, Jahavel has worked to deliver a Journey of Healing for all peoples. For the past few years, through our Healing Beyond Borders initiative, this Healing is reaching into the heart of Africa — into the Nakivale Refugee Settlement in Uganda, and the city of Goma in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
